first day of school...

First I want to say that I never really thought that my Mr. Man would get embarrassed by his mother. I wanted to take pictures and he was fine with them here at home, but the attitude came out when he realized that the camera was going to school with us. I love that he is starting to grow up, don't confuse that with being embarrassed by his mother! He wants to appear independent and tough, not the big soft mommas boy I know he really is.

Second I need to say that Odessa is such a big girl! I have never cried about my children going to school. Odessa is so excited about making new friends and learning. In her daycare preschool she was one of the smartest in her class, so I know that she will do great. I also love that she is not sad about me leaving her at school. A crying child only makes it harder for parents. Titan used to cry every day when I took him to daycare when he was 2 1/2-3 years old. I hated leaving him, but I was a working mother and hearing him cry as I walked out the door broke my heart every day.

At home just before heading to school

This is all so very new to me! I am now a single mother with both of my children in school ALL DAY! I think that I am really going to like this part of my life for as long as it lasts. I do look forward to being blessed with more children someday... Until then, here are my babies on the first day of school this year, the only year they will be at the same school together.
Just as we got to school

Walking down the hall to her class

Standing by the door

Sitting at her spot at the table

She wastes no time getting right to work

My children continue to amaze me everyday with new things. I am looking forward to this year and all the things they will learn and want to share with me. I love being a mother!

sand in the city...

I took some pics of each team when we first got there...
This is my favorite :) (above)

My babies :) Titan didn't feel so good from the heat and refused to smile...

Emelie and I

We got hungry...
This is what I ate, potato/cheese ball with rice and bread

Loved her corndog!

Steak on a stick...blech!

We shared a funnel cake...Mmmmmm!

The storm was on it's was. We made it back to the truck just in time :)

It was a great day! Emelie didn't feel the best so we left and didn't stay to see all the finished sculptures, but that is fine my children were ready to go.
